Te Weu Charitable Trust has just over $100,000 to cover the costs of a wide range of skills training, professional mentoring and workforce development opportunities for people involved in environmental/Taiao work in Tairāwhiti. The funds have to be spent between May and August 2024.

Activities funded could be for individuals but preferably groups (to maximise the impact of the funds). We are open to any ideas for any groups – we’re especially interested in opportunities that will create new businesses for sole-traders and contractors, as well as companies employing others.

We are open to proposals from training providers and mentors, as well as community groups, kaupapa Māori entities and individuals with a passion to do something to up-skill themselves. Participants should be aged 16 and over.
